Dr Corrie Block FAQ’s

What is executive coaching?

Executive coaching is like having a personal mentor who helps you boost your leadership skills, hit career goals, and improve overall performance. All top violin players, surgeons, athletes, and business leaders have coaches.

If you’re a CEO, senior exec, entrepreneur, or a high-potential leader looking to step up your game, this is for you.

I personalize my coaching based on 25 years of experience and research in strategic management, organizational behavior, neuroscience, psychology, and leadership.

Fitness, confidence, discipline, connection, rest, and competition. These pillars are what set high performing execs apart from low performing execs.

It’s all about the unique challenges and responsibilities of senior leaders, focusing on strategic thinking, leadership skills, business outcomes, and making an impact.

You can expect clearer life purpose, better work-life balance, less stress, more flexible time, better quality relationships, and an expected 500% boost in your performance. No, I’m not kidding. There’s a lot of science backing that up.

We usually meet bi-weekly or monthly, depending on your goals and schedule. I don’t rent my time, I rent space in my head, so I’ll also be checking in with you for regular accountability, and if you need anything on an ongoing basis, just message me.

A minimum engagement with me is 6 months to ensure real, lasting change. On average my clients stay with me for 2-3 years.

It starts with an assessment, followed by goal setting, creating action plans, regular progress reviews, and continuous support. Again, I rent space in my head, so the coaching process never really stops.

I have four post-graduate degrees, founded five successful businesses, won awards for my writing, and teach Strategic Management at Monarch Business School in Switzerland. I’m a Member of the Forbes Coaches Council, Member of the Institute of Coaching, Member of the Flow Research Collective, and a Board Certified Master Neuroplastician (npn.). As well I’m a Certified Executive Coach, Certified Wellness Coach, and I have an Advanced Diploma in NLP Coaching.

I customize my approach based on your strengths, challenges, goals, and organizational context to make the strategies relevant and effective. An Executive Coach should never be a non-advisory coach, and an Executive Coach should never have a dominant methodology. I don’t have a cookie-cutter roadmap for you to follow. I have a dozen roadmaps, and a warehouse of tools, so we’ll work with what works for you.

Absolutely! Many clients have advanced their careers, improved their leadership skills, and found greater personal fulfillment through our work together. Please see the Recommendations on my Linkedin profile for a few.

Empathy is key. It helps leaders connect with their teams, understand their needs, and creates a supportive work environment. One of my recent books, Love @ Work, is all about empathy in leadership, and I practice what I preach.

Through goal achievement, client feedback, performance improvements, and the overall impact on your leadership and organization. My corporate clients are reporting an average ROI of around 70x on my executive coaching, but it varies by leader, organization, and the ROI methodology they adopt.

Absolutely free! No matter how much you invest, Executive Coaching should be net profitable to you. If you think your lifetime earnings will go up by at least the investment cost due to the influence of the coach, then the coaching is free since you’ll get the money back anyway. If you don’t think your lifetime earnings will go up by at least the cost of coaching, then you’re either not ready for coaching, or you have the wrong coach.

Mental health and well-being are crucial for sustainable high performance and effective leadership. I address these aspects comprehensively. That’s why I say it’s important for Executive Coaches to round out their training with mindset and psychology education. Execs are humans too, after all.

Yes, I offer group coaching and leadership workshops tailored to your organization’s needs, focusing on team dynamics and strategic initiatives.

I use neuroplasticity and cognitive neuroscience principles to enhance learning, behavior change, and leadership effectiveness. My work on Flow States in business is really mind-blowing, and my protocols for habit forming and time mastery are best-in-class because of my continued studies.

Finding meaning at work boosts job satisfaction, motivation, and overall well-being. I help you connect your personal purpose to your professional role. After all, anything you do with half of your life everyday should be as meaningful as possible.

Contact me through my website to schedule an initial consultation and discuss your coaching needs and goals.

We’ll discuss your current situation, define your goals, and create a customized coaching plan tailored to your specific needs and aspirations.

No. Certification is valid for one year. To remain active, annual recertification is required. This ensures ongoing access to updated resources, frameworks, and the global certified community.

As leaders advance, honest feedback becomes rarer—and more valuable.

That’s why I appreciated Dr Corrie Block’s book, Chief Executive Coach, which challenges conventional ideas about what great coaching really means. He argues that leaders don’t need someone to “hold space”; they need someone who challenges them, expands their thinking, and tells them what others won’t.
In my own work, I’ve seen how transformative that kind of rigor can be. The best coaches—and peers—don’t just listen. They help you see blind spots, refine your judgment, and grow faster than you could alone.
If you’re serious about developing as a leader, Chief Executive Coach offers sharp, practical insight into how to make coaching truly count.
